Rascal is the largest capacity backpack in RLMW, designed for tent-staying traverses of over 45L. The zippered opening and roll top allow for a wide range of capacity changes.
The back pad, harness pattern and core material have been revised to provide a more solid feel than previous RLMW backpacks, with a packing weight of 10 to 15kg. The exquisite balance of lightness and durability, which is the essence of RLMW, remains the same as before.
In addition, the outer pockets, which are designed with a thorough focus on ease of packing, usability and size, are ideal not only for intermediate to advanced users, but also as a first backpack for tent-staying beginners.
It took about a year and a half of field testing before it was commercialized, and it is a four-season backpack that can be used even in the harsh winter.
The greatest feature of Rascal is its versatility, which allows the capacity to be easily changed. For example, it can cover everything from hut stays to tent stays, and you can pack it with plenty of room for mountain trips where you want to bring extra food. The back is designed to be wide and has a wide pad with moderate hardness, so it is designed to be stable when hiking.
Basically a backpack that is shoulder-weighted, but the harness design distributes the weight as much as possible.
Simple and large-capacity outer pockets
Rascal is particular about ease of packing and usability of the outer pockets.
The large stretch mesh pocket on the front has a large gusset and is large-capacity. Depending on the model, snowshoes, crampons, shovels, etc. can be stored. (Drain hole at the bottom of the pocket)
The waterproof zipper pocket for small items is intentionally shallow (depth about 20 cm) so that it is easy to take out when fully packed.
The side pocket has a large capacity (with drain hole) that can hold not only bottles but also shelters and paddles for packrafts.
Solid and stable carrying comfort
The body shape of the user is infinitely different.
In addition, the unprecedented hard and solid carrying comfort is designed for tent-staying traverses, and you can only experience its goodness when you go out into the field. The adjustment range of the load lifter, the mounting angle of the flexible harness, the size of the harness so that it doesn't feel heavy, and the inner pad adjustments were the areas we spent the most time developing.
