The material itself is cheaper than merino wool, so the product price can be kept down and you can care for it daily without as much care as merino wool. Polyester is also more durable and quick-drying.

Of course, there are disadvantages, and polyester T-shirts tend to smell as you use them. Compared to natural fibers such as cotton and wool, synthetic fibers are difficult to remove sebum stains, and polyester is particularly prone to absorbing them. In addition, synthetic fibers are prone to breeding bacteria that cause odor.

Therefore, we definitely recommend merino wool for long-term traverses where you want to reduce your luggage as much as possible, but in situations where you can change clothes immediately, such as day hikes, polyester T-shirts, which are quick-drying and highly durable, are also an option.

*If the item becomes smelly, try the following.
1. Wash the smelly item using powdered oxygen bleach.
2. Fill a basin with hot water at about 40 to 50°C, mix the specified amounts of hot water and bleach, and soak the laundry in the oxygen bleach for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

3. After soaking, rinse and spin-dry the laundry in the washing machine.

4. After spin-drying, do not leave the laundry alone, but hang it up immediately. Leaving the laundry alone after spin-drying can also cause odors.

Attention
