The Shade Cap is the first RIDGE product to adopt a jet cap-style design.
The sizing is almost the same as the previous Basic Cap. There is no significant change in fit.
By pulling the plastic tab at the back, you can tighten the elastic and easily adjust the size. This adjustment function improves the fit when worn and provides a stable fit even in windy environments. It is especially effective in outdoor scenes where strong winds are expected, such as on mountaintops and ridges.
The shade wraps around to the back of the head, widely blocking direct sunlight.
On the other hand, when you enter the shade, when the wind direction changes, or when you want to clear your back while eating or working, you can fold up the brim at the back. This reduces interference around the neck and ensures breathability.
This product uses COOL DOTS®, a 4-way stretch material that stretches both vertically and horizontally. COOL DOTS® is a high-performance 100% polyester material developed by Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd., featuring countless microscopic air pores. The key features of this material are its excellent stretchability and breathability.
Its superior stretchability allows it to flexibly adapt to all movements, reducing stress during wear. It naturally fits the body's movements, maintaining comfort even during sudden movements while hiking or active daily activities. Furthermore, the high breathability provided by the microscopic air pores prevents stuffiness and keeps you cool even during prolonged wear. You can stay comfortable even in summer or during strenuous physical activity.
A special weaving method creates countless microscopic pores (micro-pores) in the fabric, achieving excellent breathability. This technology allows air to flow efficiently from the inside of the shirt, reducing stuffiness and maintaining a comfortable feel at all times.
Furthermore, the micro-perforation design minimizes transparency when worn. While prioritizing breathability usually results in thinner fabrics and increased transparency, this shirt balances visual reassurance with functionality. It ensures the necessary breathability for hiking and exercise without compromising comfort or design.

Non-fluorine (C0) water repellency is a treatment that repels water droplets and dirt from the fabric surface without using fluorine compounds.
It repels light rain and splashes quickly, but is not completely waterproof.
The effect will gradually decrease with use and washing, but it can be restored to some extent by following the washing instructions.
