The norda 000 runs small. Most runners size up a full size from their standard US shoe size. If you’re between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one.
The toe box is naturally shaped to allow for toe splay, while the midfoot and heel provide a secure, performance lockdown.
The norda 000 accommodates wider forefeet thanks to its anatomical toe box. While not classified as a “wide” shoe, many runners with wider feet find it comfortable.
The 001A offers secure lockdown through the midfoot and heel, ensuring that wearers with narrow feet will be both secure and comfortable.
All norda footwear has an anatomical toebox to allow for natural foot splay.
The norda 000 is optimally cushioned for ultra distances while remaining responsive enough for daily training or race efforts, and is especially capable on technical or treacherous terrain due to its stability. Its Dyneema upper, Vibram midsole and Vibram outsole ensure that it’s durable, protective, supportive and grippy across any surface.

The norda 000 and the norda 001A each have their own place in the norda footwear range, with the 000 offering protection and stability for rugged mountain terrain while the 001A is an optimally cushioned all-distance shoe.
The 000 opts for a structured heel and rubberized toe bumper for extra support and protection, while the 001A leans toward speed and all-terrain versatility with an unstructured heel and non-rubberized overlays. The other main difference is in the midsole compound: the 000 uses Vibram Stream midsole technology, offering a firmer feel, while the 001A’s Arnitel TPEE blend is a softer, springier feel.
While the norda 000 is ready for adventures of all distance and duration directly out of the box, the Vibram Stream midsole is a firmer compound, stable, protective, and reactive, that generally breaks in fully around 100K (62 miles) of total wear.

The standard norda 000 is water-resistant. Dyneema® is hydrophobic and does not absorb water, but the woven construction allows for airflow and drainage.
If you need additional protection, the 001A G+, 003 G+ or 055 G+, norda models with a water-resistant and thermoregulating graphene membrane, offer water resistance rated to 10,000mm.
The traction, durability, and cushioning of norda shoes make them an excellent option for winter running. For extreme conditions, the 001 G+ Spike is ideal. It’s a winterized version of our foundational 001 model equipped with durable carbide steel spikes that provide traction on snow and even ice.
The bio-based Dyneema® upper is engineered for extreme abrasion resistance.
